Hello, I’m Karen M. Kolivoski—macro social work researcher and associate professor.

I’m passionate about broad systems reforms to improve the outcomes of young people who encounter the child welfare, juvenile, and criminal justice systems (known as crossover youth or dually-involved youth).

I was named a Society for Social Work and Research (SSWR) 2021 Fellow.

I recently provided testimony to a House subcommittee on improving the juvenile justice system.
